Audio Editing Specialist — AI Trainer

Contract | Remote (Worldwide) | Mid–Senior

Help teach next-generation AI how great audio is made. We’re training large language models to reason about real production workflows, and we need experienced editors and engineers to push, probe, and improve them.

What you’ll do

  • Evaluate and challenge models on real editing scenarios and theoretical audio-engineering questions.

  • Diagnose issues: capture reproducible error traces, identify failure modes, and write clear, step-by-step rationales.

  • Raise the bar on prompt design, test coverage, and evaluation metrics.

  • Cover the craft: EQ and dynamics, spatial audio, noise reduction, multitrack session work, automation, dialogue/podcast cleanup, and audio post for film/TV.

  • Verify outputs for technical accuracy, creative logic, and repeatability.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • Deep hands-on expertise in sound design, waveform editing, mixing & mastering, and vocal processing.

  • Fluency in one or more DAWs: Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Reaper, Ableton Live, etc.

  • A track record that could include a degree (Audio Engineering, Music Production, Acoustics or related), studio credits, or a professional portfolio.

  • Metacognitive communication: you can “show your work” clearly, explaining choices and trade-offs.

Nice to have

  • Experience with podcast production or audio post-production pipelines.

  • Familiarity with QA/test writing, benchmark creation, or model evaluation (not required).

Compensation & contract

  • Hourly range: $8–$65 USD. Final rate depends on experience, expertise, and location.

  • Contractor role: you provide a secure computer and high-speed internet. Company-sponsored benefits (e.g., health insurance, PTO) do not apply.

How to apply

Submit your résumé/CV and LinkedIn profile. You’ll also be asked about location, language proficiency, core skills, availability (hours/week), and desired hourly rate.

About the role: With your expertise, you’ll help transform clever chat into models that understand—and produce—broadcast-quality audio. If you’re ready to turn your craft into training data that teaches the world, we’d love to hear from you.
