Turing, an AI company that works with leading AI labs, is hiring experienced academic and education professionals to contribute to realistic professional-writing and education-domain use cases across business, academic, technical, and career-related contexts.

What the work involves

• Creating and evaluating realistic professional-writing and academic or education-domain scenarios.
• Developing high-quality business, technical, academic, and career-related education content.
• Applying appropriate academic terminology, tone, structure, and formatting for different audiences.
• Incorporating relevant U.S. education standards, institutional policies, regulations, and jurisdictional considerations.
• Reviewing content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, inclusivity, and academic integrity, and flagging inaccuracies, unsupported claims, or potential compliance concerns.
• Providing expert feedback and collaborating with project teams to refine education-related content and use cases.

Areas of expertise

Hands-on experience in one or more of these areas:

• Academic instruction, curriculum and student support (teaching, advising, assessment, curriculum development, online learning administration, instructional design).
• Business, communication and social sciences (business, marketing, journalism, economics, psychology, political science, public policy, history, philosophy, humanities).
• Science, mathematics and technology (biological and biomedical sciences, computer engineering, data science, mathematics, statistics, physical and earth sciences).
• Engineering, architecture and applied technologies (including transportation and military technologies).
• Health, family and professional programs (health professions, culinary services, recreation, fitness, kinesiology).
• Languages, arts and specialized studies (English and foreign languages, linguistics, visual and performing arts, library science, legal studies, theology).
• Research administration, compliance and academic integrity (grants, human and animal research compliance, research integrity, institutional research).
• Other relevant academic, education, research, or subject-matter specializations.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of professional experience in academia, education, research, or academic administration preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating, reviewing, teaching, researching, or managing academic or education-related content.
• Strong understanding of U.S. academic practices, education systems, institutional expectations, and relevant regulations.
• Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (faculty, research, student services, administration, technology, compliance, or operations).

Preferred: a master's degree, doctorate, or equivalent advanced qualification; experience as a professor, lecturer, teacher, researcher, academic advisor, program coordinator, instructional designer, or education administrator; and experience with curriculum systems, learning management systems, academic assessment tools, education technology, research platforms, or institutional data systems.

Pay, schedule and engagement

• Commitment: 40 hours per week, with 8 hours of overlap with Pacific Time (PST).
• Engagement type: contractor, up to 5 weeks.
