Mercor is seeking experienced CPAs and seasoned accounting professionals to help design and build realistic evaluation and training environments for AI models focused on bookkeeping workflows. This is a unique opportunity to shape how AI understands and performs core accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop realistic accounting scenarios and datasets covering bookkeeping workflows
• Create and review tasks related to data entry, schedules, and accruals
• Build evaluation environments for reconciliation and variance analysis workflows
• Assess model outputs for accuracy, completeness, and professional standards
• Provide expert feedback to improve AI training quality and reliability

Ideal Candidate

• Active CPA license or equivalent professional accounting credential
• Significant hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, or accounting operations
• Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and variance analysis
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify errors and edge cases in financial workflows
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, flexible environment

Compensation & Details

• Rate: $60–$80/hr (hourly contractor engagement)
