Mercor is seeking an Advanced Biology Research Expert for a high-impact project with a leading AI laboratory. This fully remote, hourly contractor role offers a competitive rate of $77/hr and is open to candidates based in the US, UK, or Canada.

As an Advanced Biology Research Expert, you will:

• Contribute PhD-level biological expertise to cutting-edge AI initiatives.
• Design and evaluate complex biology problems to inform advanced language model development.
• Collaborate directly with renowned AI researchers in a flexible, ongoing engagement (10–20 hours/week, with potential for up to 40 hours/week).

Ideal candidates:

• Hold a PhD in biological sciences from a top 25 global university.
• Are experienced researchers, academic leaders, or director-level scientists with a strong record of scholarly output.
• Demonstrate advanced scientific reasoning and have authored peer-reviewed publications or led grant-funded projects.
• Possess excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
• Have experience designing rubrics or training materials for AI/data-driven projects (preferred).
