Overview:
Mercor seeks a Chemistry Reasoning Expert experienced in chemical theory and problem-solving. You will create and refine high-quality reasoning questions designed to evaluate AI models. Your expertise in chemistry will ensure each test item is accurate, rigorous, and educationally valuable.
Responsibilities:
Develop structured, undergraduate-level chemistry questions focused on reasoning, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding.
Validate solutions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and logical reasoning.
Categorize and refine questions based on difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard).
Create questions reflecting real-world chemical scenarios, avoiding overly theoretical or trivial content.
Conduct quality assurance to ensure all questions align with chemical principles, avoiding ambiguity or errors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields.
At least 2 years' experience in teaching, research, or applied chemistry.
Strong knowledge of undergraduate-level chemistry including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry.
Excellent writing and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
