We are seeking a skilled Aerospace CAD Expert to join our team as a contractor. In this role, you will apply your deep knowledge of CAD tools and aerospace engineering principles to analyze complex assemblies, produce technical documentation, and support high-quality design workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented specialist who thrives in a collaborative, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and analyze multi-part aerospace assemblies using FreeCAD and other CAD tools
- Interpret and validate technical drawings to ensure accuracy and standards compliance
- Author clear, precise technical documentation and Q&A materials for engineering teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and designers to support project goals
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to relevant aerospace and industrial design standards
- Communicate findings and updates effectively through both written and verbal channels
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design), with hands-on experience in FreeCAD
- Strong background in mechanical engineering and aerospace assemblies
- Experience with technical drawing interpretation and multi-part assembly analysis
- Excellent technical writing skills, including question and answer authoring
- Familiarity with industrial design principles and standards compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communicator with proven collaboration abilities in remote settings
