Aerospace Engineer Expert | $100–$130/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async Contract

AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced Aerospace Engineers to help shape the future of AI safety. In this role, you will design and analyze engineering scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate model judgment and decision-making in complex aerospace contexts.

This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract position with weekly pay — ideal for aerospace professionals looking to contribute meaningfully to cutting-edge AI development on a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop realistic aerospace design and analysis scenarios to test AI model reasoning and judgment
• Apply domain expertise in areas such as aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, or guidance, navigation, and control (GNC)
• Document engineering reasoning clearly and thoroughly in written English
• Collaborate asynchronously with the AFTERQUERY team to refine and improve scenario quality

Required Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace engineering or a closely related field
• 2+ years of professional aerospace engineering experience
• Deep expertise in at least one specialty: aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, or GNC
• Strong written English communication skills for technical documentation
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week

• Rate: $100–$130/hr depending on experience
