AI Data Generalist & Annotator at Mercor

AI Data Generalist & Annotator | $30–60/hr | Worldwide Remote | Part-Time

Mercor is seeking detail-oriented generalists to support data quality control and annotation projects with leading AI labs. In this role, you will review, evaluate, and label AI-generated outputs to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models across a variety of domains — all in a structured, low-pressure environment with clear guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and rate AI-generated outputs across research and legal domains
• Annotate data and apply consistent judgment across large volumes of tasks
• Flag quality issues and ensure data accuracy in line with detailed rubrics
• Follow structured evaluation guidelines to support AI model improvement

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree, or 2–3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's from a reputable institution
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistency across high-volume tasks
• Excellent written communication and research skills
• Ability to understand and apply detailed rubrics and evaluation guidelines
• Background in law, STEM, humanities, or social sciences is a plus

Role Details

• Part-time commitment of approximately 10–20 hours per week
• Structured, well-defined tasks with clear guidelines — no high-pressure environment
• Immediate start preferred
