Annotator - Video & Media Processing at Turing

Video Annotator | Contractor | 4-Week Engagement | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking a detail-oriented Video Annotator to label, tag, and review video data used for training cutting-edge machine learning and AI models. This is a short-term contractor role requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise annotation guidelines consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Watch and analyze video clips frame by frame or segment by segment.
• Annotate objects, people, vehicles, actions, movements, scenes, and events per project requirements.
• Draw bounding boxes, polygons, key points, lines, or segmentation masks as required.
• Label video content accurately using professional annotation tools.
• Review and correct annotations to ensure quality and consistency.
• Follow detailed project guidelines and client instructions precisely.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy targets throughout the engagement.
• Report unclear cases, tool issues, or data quality problems to the team lead.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to improve annotation accuracy.
• Handle sensitive or confidential video data responsibly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with annotation tools such as CVAT, Labelbox, Supervisely, V7, Scale AI, or similar platforms.
• Degree or certification in Multimedia, Graphic Design, Film Production, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Basic computer and internet proficiency.
• Ability to follow instructions and annotation guidelines carefully.
• Good written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with repetitive, detail-focused tasks.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Previous experience in data annotation, video labeling, image annotation, or AI is a plus.

Engagement Details:

• Type: Contractor
• Duration: 4 weeks
• Commitment: Minimum 4 hours/day, 30 hours/week, with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.
