Your expertise will help set new standards for automated code understanding, reasoning, and review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and validate terminal-based tasks for agents in code understanding, including:

    • Navigating dependency trees

    • Refactoring or documenting modules

    • Identifying bugs, inconsistencies, or anti-patterns

    • Performing automated code reviews

  • Collaborate with agent developers to translate high-level goals into granular benchmarks and tasks

  • Provide language-specific expertise (Java, Kotlin, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python preferred)

  • Assess agent performance and deliver feedback on failure modes and improvement areas

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Significant experience with large-scale codebases (e.g., DataHub, PyTorch, or larger)

  • Deep familiarity with one or more major programming languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python)

  • Comfortable with multi-language, multi-module architectures, CI/CD, and modularized design

  • Strong intuition for code quality, design patterns, and architectural tradeoffs

  • Skilled at navigating, analyzing, and breaking down massive repositories

  • Excited to advance intelligent agent systems for code review and reasoning

Why This Role:

  • Work at the intersection of AI and large-scale software engineering

  • Influence how next-gen AI agents engage with production codebases

  • Collaborate with top-tier engineers and researchers

  • Tackle meaningful, real-world engineering challenges

Work Structure & Compensation:

  • Part-time (up to 20 hours/week), fully remote, async flexibility

  • Paid weekly via Stripe Connect as an hourly contractor
