Audio and Video Technician Expert | $35–75/hr | Worldwide Remote

AfterQuery is looking for skilled Audio and Video Technician Experts to help shape the future of AI by designing and evaluating complex audiovisual production challenges. This is a flexible, fully remote contractor role within our Language and Audio department.

About the Role

In this position, you will create and refine technical scenarios that test an AI model's ability to interpret and apply real-world audio and video production principles. Your work will directly influence how AI systems understand equipment operation, troubleshooting, and production workflows — bridging the gap between hands-on AV expertise and cutting-edge AI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design technically accurate audiovisual production challenges for AI training purposes.
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated responses related to AV equipment, workflows, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure scenarios reflect real-world broadcast and live event production standards.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain technical precision and consistency across training datasets.

Required Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree in Audio/Video Production, Broadcast Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven background in audio and video production, live event support, or broadcast operations.
• Strong understanding of audiovisual equipment, signal flow, and production workflows.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
