MICRO1 is seeking a skilled Audio Engineer to support AI/ML data labeling initiatives through expert audio quality assurance, artifact detection, and audio restoration. This is a remote contractor role ideal for a detail-oriented audio professional who thrives in a distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform critical listening sessions to identify audio artifacts, distortions, and quality issues
• Execute audio cleanup, restoration, and editing tasks using industry-standard tools
• Conduct quality control and data annotation for AI/ML audio datasets
• Document and report issues clearly and concisely
• Collaborate effectively with a distributed, remote team
• Prioritize and manage tasks independently to meet project deadlines

Required Skills

• Strong background in audio quality assurance and artifact detection
• Proficiency with industry-standard audio editing and restoration tools
• Experience with data annotation or AI/ML data labeling is a plus
• Access to studio monitors or high-end headphones for accurate critical listening
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management
