Mercor is partnering with one of the world's leading AI labs to find Automated CS Planning PhDs and Domain Experts for a high-impact AI data project. This is a flexible contractor role where your deep technical expertise directly shapes the future of large language models.

What You'll Do

You will apply your subject matter expertise to generate challenging, high-quality problems in your domain that will be used to train and refine state-of-the-art AI systems. Your contributions will play a meaningful role in advancing cutting-edge AI research and innovation.

Who We're Looking For

• A PhD or advanced degree (or equivalent research experience) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Operations Research — ideally with a focus on automated planning or symbolic AI
• Strong attention to detail with a rigorous, analytical mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Screening Process

Applicants will complete a short interview and task estimated at 20–30 minutes. If selected, you will be compensated for up to 1 hour of onboarding time, which includes the screening and a few onboarding videos.
