Bilingual German STEM Expert | $38–43/hr | Remote Worldwide

Mercor is seeking a Bilingual German STEM Expert with expertise in biology, physics, or chemistry to develop and refine high-quality reasoning questions for AI model evaluation. You'll create scientifically rigorous test items in both German and English, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and proper academic tone across languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Bilingual STEM Prompts: Create detailed prompts in German and/or English with multiple constraints and scientific instructions
• Define Evaluation Standards: Establish expectations for correct responses and develop comprehensive rubrics that account for scientific rigor and linguistic clarity
• Conduct Model Testing: Run prompts through AI models and assess outputs for scientific accuracy, reasoning quality, and clarity in both German and English
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate in QA review processes to ensure prompt tasks meet scientific standards and maintain consistency across German-language benchmarks

Minimum Qualifications:

• Native-level fluency in German (written) with strong English reading/writing ability
• BS or BA in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry
• Familiarity with undergraduate-level STEM topics
• Strong writing and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in teaching, research, or applied STEM field

Project Details:

• Minimum 20 hours per week commitment
• Approximately 1-month project duration
• Structured environment with clear goals and tools
