Role Overview

As a language expert, you'll assess the quality and naturalness of translations, focusing on fluency, local phrasing, and cultural relevance in Japanese. This remote, asynchronous engagement allows you to set your own hours while contributing to frontier AI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Review English-to-Japanese translations for fluency, accuracy, and local relevance
• Flag unnatural phrasing and suggest culturally appropriate alternatives
• Assess AI-generated outputs for quality, tone, and context alignment
• Provide written feedback on nuanced linguistic errors or ambiguities
• Maintain consistency and attention to detail across multiple review tasks

Ideal Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Japanese and fluent English proficiency
• Strong reading speed and comprehension in both languages
• Demonstrated experience with translation review or linguistic quality assurance
• High attention to detail and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on a flexible schedule
