Bilingual Thai STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety | $24–28/hr | Remote (Southeast Asia Preferred)

Join Mercor in a meaningful part-time role helping make advanced AI models safer. We're seeking PhD-level scientists fluent in both Thai and English to evaluate and improve how AI systems handle specialized scientific content. No prior AI or machine learning experience is needed — full training is provided.

What You'll Do

• Write expert-level scientific prompts in Thai across chemistry, biology, radiological, and nuclear subject areas.
• Evaluate and annotate AI model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and responsible handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and technical conversations.

What We're Looking For

• A PhD (completed or in progress) in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Thai, with business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and/or computational techniques in your subfield.
• Sound judgment regarding scientific safety and dual-use information handling.

Nice to Have

• Based in Thailand or the broader Southeast Asia region (preferred, not required).
• Specialization in areas such as organic/inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, genetics, radiochemistry, or nuclear chemistry.
• Background in chemical safety, biosafety, biosecurity, or hazardous materials handling.
• Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
