Bilingual Writer - German at Mercor

Bilingual Writer – German | $38/hr | Remote (Germany)

Mercor is seeking native German speakers for a short-term, paid contract to help capture and evaluate natural voice interactions with a next-generation AI assistant. In partnership with a leading AI lab, you'll use your own Mac to complete everyday tasks by voice and assess the AI's performance — all from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Use voice commands to compose messages, emails, and notes across everyday productivity apps
• Direct the AI to perform actions such as generating images, formatting text, applying spreadsheet formulas, and summarizing documents
• Record accurate transcripts of your spoken queries and produce clean, polished versions
• Evaluate and rate the AI's responses for quality and accuracy
• Log all task data in a structured tracking sheet and upload supporting recordings to a shared drive

Ideal Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in German (raised in or native to Germany preferred)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions written in English
• Must own a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or M3) running macOS Sequoia 15.0 or newer
• Regular, everyday use of common productivity apps (email, messaging, docs, spreadsheets, browsers)
• Comfortable with detailed, structured data entry and self-directed quality review
