AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced biochemists and molecular biologists to design rigorous, mechanism-level life science scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate and test model judgment and reasoning.

This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role — paid weekly — offering flexibility alongside meaningful, high-impact work at the intersection of science and AI.

What You'll Do

• Develop detailed, mechanism-level biochemistry and molecular biology scenarios for AI model evaluation
• Document complex scientific reasoning clearly and precisely in written English
• Contribute to benchmarks that help frontier AI labs assess scientific judgment and accuracy
• Work independently on an async schedule with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related field
• 2+ years of hands-on research or industry experience in molecular life sciences
• Practical depth in techniques such as cloning, protein work, sequencing, or assay design
• Strong written English communication skills for documenting scientific reasoning
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week on a consistent basis
