About the Role

We're seeking talented researchers to develop benchmark tasks that challenge AI models to autonomously design and execute sophisticated bioinformatics workflows from raw sequencing data and natural language prompts. This project demands tool proficiency, deep biological domain knowledge, and rigorous scientific reasoning.

The selection process includes a brief 15-minute interview, with decisions typically made within four days of assessment completion.

What We're Looking For

• Current graduate student (M.S. or Ph.D.) or higher degree holder (Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related quantitative field
• Hands-on experience with bioinformatics command line tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Position Details

• Flexible workload: 10–20 hours weekly, scalable to 40 hours
• Fully remote with asynchronous scheduling
• Initial 1–2 month commitment with extension opportunities
• Hourly contractor classification with weekly payouts via Stripe Connect
