Biology Expert | $60–$120/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async, Paid Weekly

AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced biologists to help build the life science scenarios that frontier AI labs use to evaluate and test model judgment. This is a flexible, fully remote contractor role designed for researchers, educators, and industry professionals who want to contribute meaningfully to the development of responsible AI.

What You'll Do

• Design and document rigorous life science scenarios used to benchmark AI model reasoning and judgment
• Apply your domain expertise to craft nuanced, scientifically grounded test cases
• Clearly articulate scientific reasoning in written English for use in AI evaluation frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in biology or a closely related field, or equivalent research experience
• 2+ years of experience in research, industry, or teaching within the life sciences
• Demonstrated depth in a biology discipline such as genetics, ecology, microbiology, or physiology
• Strong written English communication skills for documenting complex scientific reasoning
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week

Compensation & Logistics

• Rate: $60–$120/hr, depending on experience and expertise
• Schedule: Fully async — work on your own time
• Payment: Paid weekly
• Location: 100% remote, open worldwide
