Mercor is partnering with one of the world's leading AI labs to recruit Biology PhDs for a high-impact, short-term consulting project. You will apply your subject matter expertise to help shape the future of frontier large language models by crafting rigorous, real-world problems in your domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate asynchronously with a team of highly qualified domain experts.
• Craft, solve, and review challenging, real-world biology problems to inform AI model development.

Ideal Qualifications

• PhD in Biology from a top US university.
• Experience in both wet-lab techniques and bioinformatics.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent English proficiency.
• Must be a US citizen currently based in the United States.

Project Timeline

• Approximately 15–20 hours of work over a 3–5 day period in mid-March.
• Exact dates will be confirmed closer to the start date.

Interview Process

• Paid up to 1 hour for onboarding, including the screening process and onboarding videos.
