Role Overview

In this role, you will evaluate, classify, label, and validate content based on detailed project guidelines — ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets used to train and assess AI systems. You'll play a direct role in shaping the quality of next-generation AI models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, label, classify, and validate data in accordance with project guidelines.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality across all assigned tasks.
  • Identify edge cases, discrepancies, and annotation issues, escalating as needed.
  • Perform quality checks and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Meet productivity and quality targets while working independently in a remote setting.

Requirements

  • Must be currently based in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
  • Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to interpret and consistently apply guidelines.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Reliable desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in data annotation, content review, or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic.
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning data projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make consistent, objective decisions.

Engagement Details

  • Location: United States only
  • Commitment: Minimum 4 hours/day with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST; 40 hours/week total
  • Engagement Type: Contractor / Freelancer (no medical benefits or paid leave)
  • Time Zone: Overlap required with UTC-8:00 (America/Los_Angeles)
