Business Analyst (Japanese Language) | Contractor | Worldwide Remote
Turing is seeking a bilingual Business Analyst fluent in both English and Japanese to help fine-tune and improve cutting-edge large language models (LLMs). This is a fully remote contractor role offering up to 40 hours per week, with some overlap required during US Pacific hours (UTC-8).

What You'll Do
Day-to-day, you'll answer analytical questions, create training scenarios, and provide detailed feedback to help LLMs learn and improve. Examples include:
- Analyzing sales distribution data across locations and time periods to identify growth trends.
- Solving logic puzzles and constraint-based scenarios (e.g., delivery route optimization across neighborhoods).
- Summarizing and breaking down large content into structured, logical blocks.
- Conducting online research to validate claims and support model training.
Requirements
- Bilingual (English & Japanese): Multilingual capability is mandatory.
- Analytical Skills: Strong research, reasoning, and data interpretation abilities.
- Feedback Skills: Ability to provide constructive, detailed annotations and evaluations.
- Creative Thinking: Lateral and creative problem-solving mindset.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independence: Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely without close supervision.
- Availability: Up to 40 hours/week with 2–5 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific time (UTC-8).
- Technical Setup: Reliable desktop or laptop with a strong internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field. Candidates without a degree but with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
- Strong data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic skills.
