Business Analyst (RLHF/Audio) – English | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong English comprehension and analytical skills to support AI training initiatives. In this role, you will transcribe and annotate audio recordings to help fine-tune large language models (LLMs), playing a key part in advancing frontier AI research. This is a 10-week pilot contract with potential for extension, requiring up to 40 hours per week with a 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content following provided syntax and formatting guidelines.
• Annotate non-verbal cues such as pauses, laughter, tone changes, and background reactions to capture full context.
• Review and edit transcriptions to ensure they are contextually accurate, complete, and compliant with project-specific standards.
• Identify and report inconsistencies or ambiguities in speech or annotation, providing clear feedback for quality improvement.
• Deliver high-quality audio files on time and in the correct format.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards in transcription and annotation accuracy.

Requirements

• English language proficiency is mandatory.
• Strong research and analytical skills.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Availability of up to 40 hours per week with overlap during US Pacific Time hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
• Experience with audio-related RLHF tasks and/or voice acting is highly desirable.
• Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator).
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
• Strong data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic skills.
