Business Analyst (RLHF/Audio) – French | Contractor | Remote | Up to 40 hrs/week

Turing is seeking a bilingual English/French Business Analyst to support the fine-tuning and improvement of large language models (LLMs) through audio transcription, annotation, and quality analysis. This is a fully remote contractor role with an initial 10-week pilot and potential for extension.

What You'll Do

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content following provided syntax and formatting guidelines.
• Annotate non-verbal cues such as pauses, laughter, tone changes, and background reactions to capture full context.
• Review and edit transcriptions to ensure they are contextually accurate, complete, and compliant with project-specific standards.
• Identify and report inconsistencies or ambiguities in speech or annotation, providing clear feedback for quality improvement.
• Deliver high-quality audio files on time and in the correct format.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards in transcription and annotation accuracy.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.
• Creative and lateral thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Availability of up to 40 hours per week with a 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time (PT).
• Access to headphones and a working microphone.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with audio-related RLHF tasks and/or voice acting is highly desirable.
• Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator).
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
• Strong data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic skills.
