Role Overview
As a Business Analyst (RLHF/Audio), you will help fine-tune and improve large language models by transcribing, annotating, and reviewing audio content. Your work directly contributes to the quality and accuracy of AI systems — and positions you as an expert in AI-assisted analysis.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content following provided syntax and formatting guidelines.
- Annotate non-verbal cues such as pauses, laughter, tone changes, and background reactions to capture full context.
- Review and edit transcriptions for contextual accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Identify and report inconsistencies or ambiguities in speech or annotation with clear, constructive feedback.
- Deliver high-quality audio files on time and in the correct format.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high transcription and annotation standards.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Italian is mandatory.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide detailed, constructive feedback and annotations.
- Creative and lateral thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Availability of up to 40 hours per week with a 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time (PT).
- Access to working headphones and a microphone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with audio RLHF tasks and/or voice acting is highly desirable.
- Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, translator).
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
- Strong data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic skills.
Contract Details
- Engagement Type: Contractor/Freelancer (no medical or paid leave)
- Duration: 10-week initial pilot, with potential for extension
- Hours: Up to 40 hours/week preferred; 4-hour PT timezone overlap required
