Business Analyst – RLHF/Audio (Portuguese) | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking a bilingual Business Analyst fluent in English and Portuguese to support audio transcription, annotation, and quality assurance tasks that help fine-tune cutting-edge large language models (LLMs). This is a fully remote, 10-week contract with potential for extension — ideal for analytical professionals looking to future-proof their careers in an AI-first world.

What You'll Do

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content following provided syntax and formatting guidelines.
• Annotate non-verbal cues such as pauses, laughter, tone changes, and background reactions to capture full recording context.
• Review and edit transcriptions to ensure they are contextually accurate, complete, and compliant with project-specific standards.
• Identify and report inconsistencies or ambiguities in speech or annotation with clear, actionable feedback.
• Deliver high-quality audio files on time and in the correct format.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards in transcription and annotation accuracy.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.
• Creative and lateral thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Availability of up to 40 hours per week with a 4-hour overlap with PT (Pacific Time) timezone.
• Access to headphones and a working microphone.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also considered.
• Experience with audio-related RLHF tasks and/or voice acting is highly desirable.
• Professional writing experience (e.g., business analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, translator).
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
• Strong data interpretation, logical reasoning, and basic arithmetic skills.

Contract Details

• Duration: 10-week initial pilot, with potential for extension.
• Engagement Type: Freelancer/Contractor (no medical or paid leave benefits).
• Hours: Up to 40 hours per week preferred.
• Timezone Overlap: 4 hours overlap with Pacific Time required.
