CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist (FreeCAD) | $30–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a skilled CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist with hands-on experience in FreeCAD and parametric modeling. This contractor role is ideal for an engineering professional who thrives at the intersection of mechanical design, quality assurance, and software tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and validate CAD data using FreeCAD and parametric modeling techniques
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate CAD workflows and data generation pipelines
• Perform thorough validation of CAD models against engineering specifications and tolerances
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to ensure design accuracy
• Collaborate with mechanical and industrial engineering teams to align models with manufacturing processes
• Maintain clear and comprehensive engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to identify and resolve design discrepancies

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in FreeCAD and parametric CAD modeling
• Strong Python scripting skills for CAD automation
• Solid understanding of mechanical design and industrial engineering principles
• Experience with GD&T and manufacturing process considerations
• Background in quality assurance and engineering documentation best practices

Compensation
