We are seeking a skilled CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist with hands-on experience in FreeCAD and parametric modeling. This contractor role is ideal for an engineering professional who thrives at the intersection of mechanical design, quality assurance, and software tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and validate CAD data using FreeCAD and parametric modeling techniques
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate CAD workflows and data generation pipelines
- Perform thorough validation of CAD models against engineering specifications and tolerances
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to ensure design accuracy
- Collaborate with mechanical and industrial engineering teams to align models with manufacturing processes
- Maintain clear and comprehensive engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to identify and resolve design discrepancies
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in FreeCAD and parametric CAD modeling
- Strong Python scripting skills for CAD automation
- Solid understanding of mechanical design and industrial engineering principles
- Experience with GD&T and manufacturing process considerations
- Background in quality assurance and engineering documentation best practices
Compensation
