Cardiologist Expert at Mercor

Cardiologist Expert | $40–50/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is seeking fellowship-trained cardiologists to evaluate large language models' ability to interpret advanced, real-world ECG/EKG cases for a project with one of the world's top AI labs. We welcome applications from cardiologists across all subspecialties, with particular demand for fellowship-trained Electrophysiology and Clinical Cardiology experts.

You're a Good Fit If You Have:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Completion of a cardiology fellowship (any subspecialty)
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• 2+ years of post-training clinical experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

• Fellowship training in Electrophysiology
• Primary clinical practice with significant ECG interpretation volume
• Academic or teaching experience (residents, fellows, conferences)
• Experience creating case-based assessments, exam questions, or rubrics
• Background in complex arrhythmia diagnosis, conduction abnormalities, or subtle ECG pattern recognition

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop gold-standard ECG interpretations with clear diagnostic reasoning
• Emphasize edge cases, nuanced differentials, and complex reasoning in ECG analysis
• Collaborate directly with research teams at a leading AI lab
• Provide feedback on common failure modes in model reasoning
