Chartered Financial Analyst (Remote, Hourly Contract)

Role Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA Level II or III candidates or charterholders) to partner on a cutting-edge project with a leading AI research lab. In this role, you’ll leverage your financial expertise to evaluate, validate, and improve AI systems built for real-world financial analysis and modeling. Your feedback will directly shape AI capabilities in equity research, portfolio management, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate AI-generated financial models, such as DCF, LBO, and comparable company analyses

• Assess the accuracy and quality of AI-generated investment research reports and forecasts

• Provide detailed feedback to enhance AI decision-making in financial tasks

• Collaborate with AI and product teams to refine system performance

• Ensure all outputs adhere to industry standards and ethical guidelines

Ideal Qualifications:

• CFA Level II or III candidate, or CFA charterholder

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial analysis, investment research, or portfolio management

• Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Project Details:

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 4 weeks

• Commitment: Part-time, ~20 hours/week

• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous

Compensation & Contract:

• Hourly Rate: $70–$80/hr USD, based on experience

• Independent Contractor status

• Weekly payments via Stripe Connect
