Chemical Engineer Expert | $100–$130/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async Contract

AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced Chemical Engineers to help build process design and safety scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate and test model judgment. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay — ideal for engineers who want to apply deep technical expertise to cutting-edge AI development.

What You'll Do

• Design and document realistic process engineering scenarios for AI model evaluation
• Develop safety-critical case studies grounded in real-world chemical engineering practice
• Apply expertise in process design, process safety, or scale-up to create technically rigorous test content
• Clearly articulate process reasoning in written English for use in AI training and benchmarking

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
• 2+ years of experience in process, plant, or product engineering
• Strong depth in at least one of: process design, process safety, or scale-up
• Excellent written English communication skills for documenting technical reasoning
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week

Compensation & Details

• Rate: $100–$130/hr depending on experience
