AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced Chemical Engineers to help build process design and safety scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate and test model judgment. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay — ideal for engineers who want to apply deep technical expertise to cutting-edge AI development.
What You'll Do
- Design and document realistic process engineering scenarios for AI model evaluation
- Develop safety-critical case studies grounded in real-world chemical engineering practice
- Apply expertise in process design, process safety, or scale-up to create technically rigorous test content
- Clearly articulate process reasoning in written English for use in AI training and benchmarking
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field
- 2+ years of experience in process, plant, or product engineering
- Strong depth in at least one of: process design, process safety, or scale-up
- Excellent written English communication skills for documenting technical reasoning
- Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week
Compensation & Details
- Rate: $100–$130/hr depending on experience
- Schedule: Fully asynchronous, remote
