We are seeking a highly experienced Adolescent/Child Safeguarding & Exploitation Specialist to join our team as a contractor. This role is ideal for a clinical expert with deep knowledge in child protection, exploitation risk detection, and safeguarding escalation within medical and clinical contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning to evaluate complex safeguarding cases involving minors and adolescents
- Conduct thorough clinical risk assessments and severity staging to determine appropriate levels of intervention
- Identify and assess exploitation risks, including trafficking, abuse, and neglect indicators
- Exercise sound intervention judgment to recommend and guide appropriate clinical and protective responses
- Manage safeguarding escalation processes in line with best practices and regulatory standards
- Apply nuanced understanding of consent and developmental judgment when working with minors across different age groups
Required Skills & Expertise
- Clinical reasoning and risk assessment in pediatric or adolescent medicine
- Expertise in child safeguarding frameworks and exploitation risk detection
- Experience with safeguarding escalation protocols
- Strong understanding of consent laws and developmental considerations for minors
- Background in medicine, clinical psychology, or a related healthcare discipline
