Clinical Researcher (STEM PhD) | $70–80/hr | Remote (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand)

Mercor is seeking Clinical Researchers with STEM PhDs for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs. Contribute your subject matter expertise to cutting-edge frontier large language models by crafting high-quality, challenging problems with real-world applicability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work asynchronously with highly qualified experts across your domain
• Design multi-step clinical workflows requiring agents to navigate medical databases and analyze research data
• Create detailed evaluation rubrics for AI agent performance
• Commit 15-20 hours per week with potential for increased hours and extension

Ideal Qualifications:

• PhD from a top US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia institution
• Experience with medical/scientific databases (ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, FDA databases, CDC data)
• Professional research experience in academia, pharma, or healthcare institutions
• High attention to detail and exceptional written/verbal communication skills
• Excellent English proficiency
• Currently based in the US, Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia

Role Details:

• Start Date: Early December (applications reviewed on rolling basis)
• Interview: Short domain expertise assessment
• Compensation: Paid for up to 1 hour of onboarding time including screening and training videos
