Compliance Expert | $40–80/hr | Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI organization to support the development of advanced systems designed to model financial compliance workflows. We're seeking experienced compliance professionals to advise on and evaluate how AI models interpret regulatory risk indicators, particularly in anti-money laundering (AML) and suspicious activity reporting (SAR) contexts.

Role Overview

This is a flexible, hourly engagement requiring approximately 10–20 hours per week. You'll work directly with AI development teams to ensure compliance models accurately reflect real-world regulatory processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess AI-generated outputs related to AML compliance and regulatory reporting
• Evaluate consistency across KYC, transaction data, and regulatory standards
• Provide structured feedback on AI performance in identifying and articulating suspicious activity
• Support the creation of workflows that mirror real-world compliance review and escalation processes

Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AML, financial compliance, or regulatory risk management
• Strong familiarity with SAR processes, typology frameworks, and internal controls
• Experience interpreting transaction patterns and customer profiles in compliance settings
• Professional certification (e.g., CAMS) or relevant financial compliance background preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with structured compliance documentation
