Compliance Officer at Mercor

Compliance Officer | $70–110/hr | Worldwide Remote | Contract (4–6 Weeks)

Mercor is seeking experienced Compliance Officers to evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this short-term contract role, you'll apply your regulatory expertise to assess AI-generated compliance content, workflows, and enforcement artifacts — helping shape the next generation of AI tools in the compliance space.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated compliance assessments, regulatory analyses, licensing reviews, and enforcement artifacts for accuracy and quality.
• Conduct head-to-head comparisons of AI-generated responses based on regulatory rigor, evidentiary soundness, and enforcement reasoning.
• Review compliance scenarios involving eligibility determinations, license and permit reviews, violation reporting, and regulatory recommendations — and provide detailed expert feedback.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Compliance Officer, Compliance Analyst, Compliance Manager, License Examiner, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, or a closely related compliance or regulatory enforcement role.
• Demonstrated experience examining, evaluating, or investigating conformity with laws, regulations, licenses, or permits, including preparing findings and enforcement reports.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week during the project duration.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Project Details

• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks
• Payment: Task-based upon first task approval; qualified experts are then paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
