Computational Chemistry Expert | $40–60/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a skilled Computational Chemistry Expert to join our applied engineering team as a specialist contractor. In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge simulation tools, scientific programming, and AI/ML-assisted workflows to drive meaningful outcomes in molecular research and drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute molecular simulations and quantum chemistry calculations using industry-standard software
• Optimize simulation parameters and analyze complex scientific datasets to extract actionable insights
• Develop and maintain scientific programming workflows using Python and cheminformatics libraries
• Integrate AI/ML methodologies into chemistry workflows to enhance research efficiency
• Support drug discovery initiatives through computational modeling and data-driven analysis
• Produce clear, well-structured documentation and communicate findings effectively to cross-functional teams

Required Skills & Tools

• Simulation Software: Gaussian, ORCA, Psi4, NWChem, GROMACS, LAMMPS, AMBER
• Cheminformatics: RDKit, OpenBabel
• Programming: Python, scientific data analysis, simulation parameter optimization
• Domains: Molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, computational chemistry, drug discovery
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical reasoning, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, documentation

Compensation

$40–60/hr depending on experience and expertise.
