Role Overview

Mercor is seeking experienced Computer Hardware Engineers to help create, review, and validate technical, prompt-based questions used for training cutting-edge AI models.

You'll leverage your expertise in areas such as circuit design, embedded systems, processor architecture, or signal processing to ensure each AI training prompt and response is technically accurate, insightful, and aligned with real-world hardware applications. Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years industry experience in hardware engineering.

• Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Circuit design and PCB development

  • Embedded systems and microcontroller programming

  • Processor architecture and system design

  • Signal processing and hardware validation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Hardware Engineering or related discipline.

• Experience with industry-standard design tools and methodologies.

Hiring Process

3. Output Evaluation: Assess and compare AI-generated responses for accuracy and effectiveness.

Candidates are selected based on their AI interview performance, quality of their prompt creation, and evaluation accuracy.

Compensation & Legal

• Classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.

• Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
