Computer Science Intelligence Analyst
Location: Remote (asynchronous)
Commitment: Part-time (~15–25 hrs/week)
Rate: $80–100 USD/hour (independent contractor)
Mercor is partnering with a premier AI research lab to create the first public benchmark for evaluating agentic AI on advanced computer‐science tasks. As a Computer Science Intelligence Analyst, you’ll design, run and analyze experiments that stress-test model capabilities in areas like algorithms, formal methods and computational complexity.
Benchmark AI Models: Develop and execute test suites to evaluate theoretical and practical aspects of AI systems.
Analyze Results: Interpret complex theoretical outputs, assess algorithmic behaviors, and draw rigorous formal conclusions.
Document Findings: Produce clear, detailed technical reports and academic‐quality write-ups.
Educational Background: You hold (or are pursuing) a degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (e.g. algorithms, complexity theory, formal methods, automata theory, ML theory, programming languages, logic). Equivalent professional experience also qualifies.
Analytical Thinker: Expert at interpreting theoretical results, debugging intricate problems, and synthesizing formal insights.
Strong Communicator: Exceptional attention to detail and polished technical writing skills, with experience drafting academic or research-level documents.
Flexible Schedule: Work fully remotely and on your own time—no fixed hours or meetings-heavy days.
Balanced Workload: Contribute ~15–25 hours per week; structured, clear expectations without high-pressure deadlines.
