Mercor is hiring Computer Science PhDs to join a prestigious AI research initiative with one of the world’s leading AI labs. You will leverage your deep expertise to help develop challenging problems and high-quality datasets, advancing the capabilities of state-of-the-art large language models.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Completed undergraduate degree in the U.S., UK, Canada, or Europe.

• Earned a PhD in Computer Science or Machine Learning from a top U.S. or Canadian university.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Generate complex, domain-specific problems to guide the development of advanced AI models.

• Collaborate with a team of experts contributing to the future of artificial intelligence.

Job Details:

• Fully remote, flexible, asynchronous schedule.

• Initial workload: 15–20 hours weekly, with potential expansion to 40 hours.

• Project duration: minimum commitment of 2–3 months, with potential for extension.

Compensation and Legal Status:

• Legally classified as an hourly contractor.

• Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
