Content Writer – Japanese | Contractor | Worldwide Remote
Turing is seeking a skilled bilingual Content Writer (English & Japanese) to help build high-quality training data for next-generation AI systems. This is a fully remote, part-time contractor role requiring at least 20 hours per week, ideal for language professionals with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for AI innovation.

Role Overview
As a multilingual content specialist, you will design realistic, context-rich scenarios and generate high-quality data used to train cutting-edge AI language models. This is a non-technical role best suited for candidates with strong Japanese and English language skills and a commitment to quality.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create and refine natural, high-quality queries written in Japanese.
- Write fluent, accurate expected outputs in Japanese that reflect correct responses.
- Translate key components into English to support internal validation workflows.
- Collect and reference supporting sources to ensure queries are grounded and verifiable.
- Follow structured guidelines to maintain consistency, quality, and alignment across all generated data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on outputs and continuously improve data quality.
Required Qualifications
- Full professional proficiency in both English and Japanese (reading and writing).
- 2+ years of experience in content writing, translation, or localization.
- Ability to follow structured workflows and guidelines with precision.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also welcome.
- Prior experience creating datasets for LLMs (e.g., prompt writing, SFT, RLHF, eval benchmarks, red teaming, or QA).
Engagement Details
- Commitment: Minimum 4 hours/day, 20 hours/week with 4 hours of overlap with PST (UTC-8:00).
- Type: Freelance/Contractor (no medical or paid leave benefits).
- Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension based on performance.
