Content Writer – Mandarin (Chinese) | Contractor | Fully Remote | AI Training Data
Turing is seeking a skilled bilingual content specialist fluent in English and Mandarin/Chinese to create high-quality training data for next-generation AI systems. This is a fully remote, part-time contractor role requiring at least 20 hours per week with overlap in PST hours.

Role Overview
In this non-technical role, you will design realistic, context-rich scenarios and generate high-quality content in Mandarin/Chinese to support AI model training. Strong language skills and attention to detail are essential.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create and refine natural, high-quality queries in Mandarin/Chinese.
- Write accurate, fluent expected outputs in Mandarin/Chinese.
- Translate key components into English to support internal validation workflows.
- Collect and reference supporting sources to ensure queries are grounded and verifiable.
- Follow structured guidelines to maintain consistency, quality, and alignment across all data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on outputs and improve data quality.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin/Chinese (reading and writing) is mandatory.
- 2+ years of experience in content writing, translation, or localization.
- Ability to follow structured guidelines and work within defined workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field (candidates without a degree but with relevant experience are welcome).
- Experience creating datasets for LLMs (prompt writing, SFT, RLHF, eval benchmarks, red teaming, or QA).
Engagement Details
- Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week, at least 4 hours/day with PST overlap (UTC-8).
- Type: Contractor/Freelancer (no medical or paid leave benefits).
- Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension based on performance.
