Corporate Designer — Project Style at Mercor

Corporate Designer (Project Style) | $65–100/hr | Fully Remote | ~15 hrs/week

Mercor is seeking experienced Corporate Designers for Project Style — an AI aesthetics project where design experts evaluate, score, and refine AI-generated knowledge-work deliverables such as decks, documents, spreadsheets, and PDFs. Your contributions will directly shape how AI models produce polished, publish-ready business materials.

What You'll Do

• Compare multiple AI-generated versions of the same deliverable and score them across layout & spacing, typography, colour, domain realism, and overall polish
• Select the strongest candidate and rework it to a professional reference standard
• Provide clear, evidence-based justifications tied to specific layout decisions — alignment, spacing, balance, grouping, and density
• Apply real corporate design judgment to client-facing business materials

Who You Are

• A designer, marketing/communications professional, or knowledge-work specialist with experience in management consulting, investment banking, in-house corporate design, agency work, or marcom
• Someone who spots subtle layout inconsistencies others miss — alignment gaps, unequal card heights, dead space, and margin discipline
• Opinionated about what good looks like in a business deliverable and able to articulate it clearly in writing
• Detail-oriented and invested in how work is presented, not just what it communicates

Role Details

• Rate: $65–100/hr (based on experience)
• Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week
• Location: Fully remote, worldwide

Screening Process

Applicants will submit a resume and complete a Corporate Designer calibration assessment (~45 minutes). The assessment evaluates how closely your ratings of real deliverables align with a calibrated answer key, specifically on the layout & spacing axis.
