Creative Filmmaker | $35/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to collect high-quality photo and video data. We're seeking skilled videographers and content creators to produce polished portrait photos and short videos of real people, following detailed creative and technical guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Shoot high-quality portrait photos and 10–15 second videos of real subjects, adhering to detailed guidelines for framing, lighting, motion, and audio.
• Edit multiple shots into a single polished clip per submission.
• Submit photo and video sets that meet quality standards for resolution, lighting, composition, and sound.
• Produce diverse content across a range of locations, outfits, actions, and emotions.

What We're Looking For

• Cinematic video production experience — professional, hobbyist, or student background welcome.
• Access to a prosumer or professional camera — this is a hard requirement. Phone cameras will not meet the quality bar. Minimum 1080p required; 4K strongly preferred.
• Strong visual eye — your work should reflect the production quality of polished social media content (think high-quality Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts): well-lit, sharp, and cinematic.
• Basic video editing skills — ability to cut multiple shots into a cohesive clip and apply light color grading.
• Clean audio capture — clear, intentional audio is required; an external microphone is strongly recommended.
• Access to diverse subjects, locations, and wardrobes — variety in people, outfits, backgrounds, and settings (both indoor and outdoor) is essential.
• Attention to detail — strict adherence to technical specs including framing, resolution, duration, file format, and export settings.

Project Details

• Compensation: Per-submission pay, equivalent to approximately $30–$40/hr.
• Feedback process: Early submissions go through a quick feedback loop with team leads to align on quality standards before high-volume submission begins.
• Technical requirements: High-resolution, uncompressed or minimally compressed exports required.
