Turing is looking for experienced customer service professionals to help build and validate AI training data, workflows, and simulations that power cutting-edge Large Language Model (LLM) benchmarking. This is a fully remote freelance opportunity with a leading AI research accelerator based in San Francisco, California.

Role Overview

In this role, you will apply your hands-on customer service expertise to recreate real-world business scenarios, validate AI-generated outputs, and ensure compliance, trust, and quality standards within support workflows — all in service of improving LLM training and evaluation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Recreate workflows for ticket handling, chat/email support, refunds/returns, and knowledge base maintenance.
  • Validate AI-generated outputs in customer support scenarios, ensuring compliance and trust standards are met.
  • Simulate escalations, SLA tracking, and quality audits within support workflows.
  • Provide structured annotations and datasets that enhance LLM training and evaluation processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in customer service operations, including ticket handling, chat/email workflows, refunds/returns, and knowledge base upkeep.
  • Familiarity with workflow tools such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify AI shortcomings in real-world workflows.
  • Understanding of how operational data is used for training and evaluating LLMs.
  • Excellent written English for creating training-quality datasets and validating AI outputs.

Engagement Details

  • Commitment: Minimum 4 hours/day, 30 hours/week, with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Type: Contractor/Freelancer (no medical or paid leave benefits).
  • Duration: 1 month (with potential for extension based on performance).
  • Eligible Locations: India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Mexico.
