Join MICRO1 as a Cyber Security Engineer and work on challenging, high-impact security projects in a fully remote, contractor capacity. We're looking for an expert-level engineer who combines deep security knowledge with strong software development skills to protect and improve complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough penetration testing and security audits to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
• Implement new features, fix bugs, and perform codebase refactoring across multiple languages
• Optimize application and system performance with a security-first mindset
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Analyze and improve existing algorithms and system architectures for both efficiency and resilience

Required Skills

• Languages: Python 3, Java, Rust, TypeScript, C++ (fundamentals)
• Security: Penetration testing, security auditing, cybersecurity principles

Compensation
