Data Annotation Expert | $45/hr | Remote in US

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to contract detail-oriented generalists for a data annotation project supporting next-generation AI development. This remote, flexible engagement runs through October with potential extension through year-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesize information from large volumes of diverse data
• Annotate and categorize text, images, and other data according to detailed guidelines
• Apply predefined rubrics and taxonomies to produce structured, high-quality outputs
• Flag inconsistencies, ambiguities, or errors in datasets
• Contribute to improving AI system accuracy and reliability through consistent annotation work

Ideal Qualifications

• Based in the United States
• Ability to synthesize complex or high-volume information into structured formats
• Strong critical reasoning, reading comprehension, and written communication skills
• Prior experience applying rubrics, taxonomies, or standardized guidelines (preferred but not required)

Project Details

• Remote and asynchronous: set your own schedule
• Expected commitment: ~20 hours per week
• Duration: through end of October, with potential extension through December
• Payments issued weekly via Stripe Connect
