Data Science Document Contributor | $80–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is seeking experienced data science professionals to contribute high-quality, human-made data science documents for a curated document collection. This is an excellent opportunity for practitioners with polished, real-world work artifacts to earn competitive compensation on a flexible, per-document basis.

How It Works

Submit an initial batch of 10 documents for sample review. Accepted documents are compensated at $100 per document, with the potential to scale contributions significantly based on quality and fit.

Priority Document Types

• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) reports
• Model cards and evaluation reports
• A/B test readout documents
• Statistical analysis plans
• Data dictionaries and lineage documentation
• Data quality or drift reports
• Stakeholder decision memos

Document Quality Standards

• Format: True .docx source files only
• Authenticity: Real-world professional work only — no synthetic documents or fabricated data
• Visual quality: Polished typography, consistent margins, aligned tables and figures, clear hierarchy — ready for executive, legal, or investor audiences
• Substance: Documents should reflect approximately 5–10+ hours of professional effort, demonstrated through structure, finish, and commercial usefulness rather than length alone
• Features: Charts, methodology sections, uncertainty and assumptions documentation, reproducibility notes, and stakeholder-ready summaries

Exclusions

• Simple notes, short unstyled briefs, or lightly formatted drafts
• Documents using identical templates, letterheads, or style systems
• Any material containing PII, confidential personal identifiers, or sensitive individual-level data

Intellectual Property Requirements

Only submit documents you personally created and have the full legal right to share. Do not submit anything owned by a current or former employer, subject to confidentiality restrictions, or copyrighted by another party. Please ensure all sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information has been fully removed prior to submission.
