Diffusion Models ML Expert | $150–200/hr | Worldwide Remote | 10–20 hrs/week

AFTERQUERY is seeking highly specialized machine learning researchers and engineers with deep expertise in diffusion models for a short-term, project-based remote engagement. This is a rare opportunity to work at the frontier of generative AI research, contributing to cutting-edge model development across image, video, audio, and scientific data domains.

Work is fully asynchronous, spanning 2–3 weeks, with tasks assigned on a project-by-project basis. You choose the projects you accept, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week.

What You'll Do

• Develop and experiment with diffusion-based generative model architectures
• Perform fine-tuning and optimization of existing diffusion models
• Conduct research tasks spanning image, video, audio, and scientific data generation
• Work independently on open-ended, frontier-level research and engineering challenges

Required Qualifications

• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed venue (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, or equivalent)
• Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Deep, demonstrated expertise in diffusion models, score-based generative models, or flow-based approaches
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working independently on complex, ambiguous tasks
