Dishwasher — ONET Occupation Study at Mercor
posted 3 months agoDishwasher Occupation Study | $16/hr | Remote (U.S. Only)
Mercor is seeking experienced dishwashers to participate in a paid, one-time online study aimed at improving the U.S. government's O*NET occupational framework. Your real-world expertise will help shape how the dishwasher role is officially described for the entire country.
About the Study
Mercor is building a more accurate version of O*NET — the federal framework used to describe occupations and their associated tasks. We're gathering direct input from working professionals to ensure the dishwasher role (SOC 35-9021.00) is represented accurately.
What You'll Do
- Complete a one-time online survey or interview about your daily work experience as a dishwasher — takes up to 30 minutes.
- An optional follow-up survey, task, or short interview may be offered afterward and would be compensated separately.
Who We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience working specifically as a dishwasher.
- Currently working in the role, or have worked in it within the last 12 months.
- Direct, hands-on knowledge of daily kitchen tasks, equipment, and workflow.
- U.S.-based applicants only.
Not Eligible
- Cooks or food preparation workers whose primary role involves preparing food (SOC 35-2014.00, 35-2021.00).
- Servers, hosts, or general front-of-house staff.
- Kitchen or restaurant managers.

How to apply for this role
- Upload your resume — keep it up-to-date and in English. Mercor will auto-fill your profile from it.
- Complete the AI interview — a 15-minute conversation about your experience. Be ready to discuss specific projects and challenges you've solved.
- Submit your application — only about 20% of applicants finish all the steps, so completing yours puts you well ahead.
