Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to enhance expert-level scientific reasoning in frontier AI models. We are seeking experienced DNA nanotechnology specialists to author and evaluate challenging problems, helping shape the next generation of AI capabilities in the life sciences.

What You'll Do

• Design expert-level problems spanning DNA origami, nucleic-acid nanostructures, strand-displacement systems, and sequence/structure design
• Peer-review problems authored by other experts, assessing clarity, difficulty, and ground-truth correctness
• Evaluate and compare AI-generated solutions, delivering Accept / Revise / Reject verdicts supported by detailed written rationale

Ideal Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in chemistry, bioengineering, biophysics, or a closely related field with a focus on DNA/nucleic-acid nanotechnology
• Hands-on experience with DNA origami, structural nucleic-acid design, or molecular self-assembly
• Familiarity with design and simulation tools such as caDNAno, oxDNA, or NUPACK
• Strong scientific writing skills and meticulous attention to detail
